Always remove the container from your vehicle and place it on the ground before filling. Fill the container slowly to decrease the chance of static electricity buildup and to minimize spilling or splattering. Do not overfill.
Lay the tank in a horizontal position, close both shut-off valves, and disconnect the hose assembly. Remove the fill cap, insert the nozzle into the fill neck (keeping the valve above the nozzle), and open the hose shut-off valve. Squeeze the pump handle repeatedly until the hose is empty, then close the shut-off valve.
