To replace the needle (usually model N-10 or N-40), lock the tone arm, then gently pull the old red stylus housing forward and down. Insert the new stylus by engaging the rear tabs first and pushing it upwards until it clicks.
If your model has a belt drive, ensure the belt is correctly looped around the motor spindle and the underside of the platter. Also check the Auto-Stop switch; if set to ON, the platter may only rotate when the tone arm is moved over the record.
